He graduated magna cum laude in 1988 with a degree in political science. Feldmeier received his J.D. from Capital University Law School in 1991. While at Capital, he was a member of the Delta Theta Phi law fraternity and also served as a member of the Capital University Law Review. He received his Ph.D. from Miami University in 1996.
